Schedule
This schedule allows for
a structure and routine that the children can feel comfort and stability
in, yet allows them freedom within that structure. From my
experience preschool aged children need much time to explore and play
freely. I have alternated group activities with free play to keep
them engaged, yet not feeling overwhelmed with structure. All
children will be encouraged to join in activities such as gym time,
music and art projects but none will be forced to do so.
6:30 am Indoor Free Play
Kids may choose from a variety of activities such as looking at
wonderful picture books, playing with play dough,
putting together puzzles, playing musical instruments, building a
city with various types of building blocks, playing with “little
people” and other toys, practicing their social skills in the dress-up
and “house“ areas, creating art with tempera paints,
watercolors, pastels, colored pencils, crayons and markers. They
may also choose to join in a group activity or game such as hide and
seek, hot potato, and doggie doggie where’s your bone to name a few.
7:30 am Breakfast
8:00 am Gym Time
A fun chance for kids to get stretched out and warmed up for a fun
day! Activities include kiddy yoga, tumbling on 2” gym mat, and fun
aerobic exercises.
8:30 am Indoor Free Play
More time to socialize and play with their friends for those who missed
it earlier.
9:30 am Music
As a music teacher for several years I
have oodles of fun musical activities that little ones love!
These include playing a variety of instruments, singing and
dancing to music from around the world.
